STEVE TINNEY'S 50th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION,
October 15, 2005,
Dunsmuir, California.
Steve Tinney and I have been friends for about 23 years.
We met at the Veteran's Taxi garage in San Francisco. I had been driving taxi for a few years already
when Steve started working for the company. When he first started driving I remember giving him advice on how to make money
as a cab driver in San Francisco. Some nights we would park our cabs and have dinner together. We eventually became good friends.
When Steve and Heike first told me about the birthday party I told them that I had to work on Saturday night and would instead
come up on Sunday to celebrate. They seemed so disappointed on the phone that I reconsidered and took the night off work.
So thanks for the good times, great knowing you and happy birthday to you Steve.
Steve was celebrating from the moment I arrived around 5:30 p.m.
